Lenny McBrowne (January 24, 1933 – date of death unknown) was an American jazz drummer, an active figure in West Coast jazz. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he began playing drums in his youth, inspired by Max Roach and Art Blakey. In the 1950s, McBrowne moved to Los Angeles, becoming a sought-after musician, collaborating with Paul Horn, Frank Rosolino, and Sonny Stitt. His style featured precise accents and swinging energy, making him an ideal ensemble partner. Though he rarely recorded as a leader, his album Lenny McBrowne And The 4 Souls highlights his talent as an organizer and musician. Later, he taught, sharing his expertise.
